The staff, including Crystal, Curtis, and Crystal's son, were incredibly accommodating. The food from the food truck on-site was absolutely delicious. The location was great, offering a sense of privacy while still being within walking distance of shops and attractions. I also loved the unique feature of using the last four digits of my phone number to unlock the door, making it easy to remember. a fantastic stay that I would highly recommend.
Would recommend this hotel.

A quaint and cozy cottage experience. More rustic than elegant - but this is what we wanted. All was comfort and clean, the staff cheerful and outgoing. We stayed just one night while visiting friends on a two day trip. We've already decided to stay at the Tropical Cottages in December, when we'll be visiting Marathon for a week.

Great value with nostalgic flavor of Old Florida. Cottages are painted in pastel shades with rooms decorated with an homey, artistic touch. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Setting is very low-key and relaxed which is very inviting despite being right off the highway. Easy access to beaches, Key West and shopping for provisions. Room has small refrigerator and microwave. AC worked great though it would help if a sign was in room to explain where to find the AC control. It took a while for me to find the AC remote.
I had to go outside to access Wi-Fi. This was only a problem because of mosquitos. Plus, not a big issue since I was on vacation and shouldn't have been checking email!

I had a fantastic stay at this charming cottage. The room was clean and comfortable, with a full-sized refrigerator and a cozy king-sized bed. I appreciated the abundance of charging outlets, and the location was excellent for the price. The staff were courteous and made me feel like I had my own little bungalow. It definitely felt like a cool place to stay, and I can imagine younger people really enjoying it as well.
Almost perfect. The only thing that stood out was the unconventional bathroom setup. The shower and toilet were located outside in an enclosed patio.

Nice staff, very friendly, good location, solid flats.
One lamp did not work, as well as toilet has problem with water pressure, waste has pumped ou badly. After reporting it, staff says that is because of water pressure. Hovewer I think thats not true, in neighbourhood also Marathon we stayed also in an Motel end there is works fine ! As a result, I can recommend it for 1 or 2 nights. It is fine.

We had a fantastic stay at a Tropical Cottages in Marathon. The interior of the brightly painted timber cabins was surprisingly spacious and the large beds were comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about activities in the area. In addition, the grounds were exceptionally nice with a charming Tiki bar and hammock/lounge area outside. The hotel's location was tucked away just behind a more developed area, which made it feel like our own little tropical paradise. We also appreciated that there was less damage from hurricane Irma than we had anticipated. our experience at the hotel was excellent.
Absolutely nothing.

The kids loved the hammocks! It was nice having morning coffee at the tiki bar. The staff was very friendly.
There were alot of ants in the kitchen and bathroom. The toilet did not flush well.

Quirky "sheds" actually a good standard of room decorated in a holiday style giving a good feeling. More of a passing through location than a long term stay. Two enjoyable nights
Barking dog in an adjacent "cottage" but thats not really the accomodations fault.

Very "kitschy" old Florida Keys atmosphere. Absolutely cute as could be and very comfortable. The grounds and cottages are well maintained and it was a very romantic and fun place to stay! Will definitely return. If you are looking for a high-end, posh resort experience, this is not the place for you but if you want to experience The Keys… this is the place! Loved it!
The only reason I did not give excellent for "cleanliness" is because they forgot to service our room. I would add that when we contacted the office, although they were closed, the staff came back to the site and provided everything we needed and apologized profusely. Cleanliness otherwise was excellent.

I'm really satisfied with my stay in the Florida Keys. The value for money at this place was great and the room was comfortable with a nice beachy theme. The location was perfect, giving me a glimpse of old Florida and providing a quiet and clean atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable.
The only thing that could make the breakfast better is to have a decaf coffee option available in the mornings.
